Monday-Friday 10am-3:30pm Teacher- student ratio: 8:1 (max enrollment 16 students) $375 (All materials included (students will need to bring a lunch, water bottle, appropriate clothing for the weather, extra sweatshirt, and clothes they can get dirty-we have aprons too) Students will have the opportunity to explore their creativity in a variety of materials and approaches to art-making including: sculpture, clay, glass, printmaking, small metal casting, collage. We will be working in our barn studio and outside on our 17-acre property while having fun and meeting new friends. Each project is designed to inspire students to immerse themselves in creative play and experimentation while exploring materials and processes they may not typically have access to. Projects may change depending on students interest and experience level. Projects and materials we will be exploring: Clay: Relief Clay compositions, Clay sculptural totems, students will be making their own stamps by carving clay. We will uses these stamps to create original textures on slab built sculptures and vessels. Abstract slab portraits, Silkscreen Printmaking: We will be printing campers' original drawings on t-shirts and/or other clothing the campers bring from home. Glass and wire sculptures and another glass project which will be the student choice: glass animals/glass flowers for the garden, glass pendants, bowls and plates, suncatchers printing on glass, Abstract portraits (painting and drawing) Optional: Small-scale Metal Casting: Each student will create a small casting for jewelry/pendants or key-chains. Friday Exhibition and party: All campers will work together to set up an exhibition showcasing their art on from the week to share with friends and family.
