Service Description

Monday-Friday 10am-3:30pm (noon-1: lunch) Teacher- student ratio: 8:1 (max enrollment 16 students) $375 (All materials included (students will need to bring a lunch, water bottle, appropriate clothing for the weather, extra sweatshirt, and clothes they can get dirty-we have aprons too) Students will have the opportunity to explore their creativity in a variety of materials and approaches to art-making including: clay, glass, printmaking, small metal casting, collage and artist book making. We will be working in our barn studio and outside on our 17-acre property while having fun and meeting new friends. Each project is designed to inspire students to immerse themselves in creative play and experimentation while exploring materials and processes they may not typically have access to. Projects and materials we will be exploring: Clay: We will be making small sculptures, a clay bowl and/or platter with natural textures, stamps, and glaze. Nature walk: we will do several nature walks to gather natural materials for our clay work. Relief and Silkscreen Printmaking: We will be printing on paper, and t-shirts and/or other clothing the campers bring from home and want to print on. Glass Fusing and Slumping: We will be making glass pendants, two of the following: a bowl, plate, suncatcher, bouquet of three glass flowers, glass animal or character. Small-scale Metal Casting: Each student will create a small casting for jewelry/pendants or key-chains. Artist Book Project: Each student will learn how to make an original “artist’s book” using collage, drawing and painting techniques. Friday Exhibition and party: All campers will work together to set up an exhibition showcasing their art on from the week to share with friends and family. Cancellation Policy

If you would like to sign up for this class you can either pay a deposit online of $50 and the rest in person (check, cash, credit card, Venmo are all accepted in person) Deposits are refundable up to 4 weeks prior to camp start date. Or you can pay for the entire workshop online.
